Recently, a local photographer and hairdresser teamed up to create a space in St Thomas. that can be rented out to the public for events, as well as a photo studio space for photographers, and let me just say how fantastic of an idea this is and how desperately necessary it was!
The Nook is located on Talbot Street in St. Thomas, Ontario and features a Living Room area which can be rented out for parties, showers, or for Bridal Parties getting ready on the morning of the wedding, a Hair Studio where their resident hairdresser takes appointments, and a lovely Photo Studio in the back room! The Photo Nook has white shiplap walls and large windows which make for a great, bright space for indoor photos!
I was so excited that my friend, Julie, was open to having her son’s Donut Smash at The Nook because I was dying to test it out, and now that I have, I plan on booking all my Cake Smash sessions there (scheduling permitted!). It was a fantastic space for families to feel comfortable and in from the cold, and had plenty of space for family portraits which I didn’t typically offer with Cake Smash Sessions until now because of space restrictions!
This is my second “Smash” session for Julie’s kiddos. Her firstborn is 6 weeks younger than my oldest daughter, and she requested a Pancake Smash for him! When it came time to plan Finn’s session, the only question was which food should he smash?! Donuts were the perfect choice! We could stack them up like a cake, there was lots of variety, and boy were they messy!
