Hey everyone!
It seems like forever since I’ve hopped online and updated my blog! It’s been over a year and so much has happened!
The biggest change has been welcoming a new little girl into our lives! Technically I am still off on my maternity leave until October of this year, but today I had the opportunity to try out The Atrium, a co-working office space in St. Thomas! Let me just say, my productivity has shot through the roof! Not having to work from my couch at home, worrying about laundry, dishes, and temper-tantrums means I can focus on getting work DONE! I definitely plan on utilizing this resource once things are back in full swing and the little ones are a tiny bit bigger!
Now, on to the reason for this post! A friend and local photographer contacted me asking if I’d be willing to take a small break from my maternity leave to do her daughter’s newborn photos! Of course I just couldn’t resist, and once I met Emmersyn, I was so glad I took this session on! She was an absolute dream to photograph! At just over 6lbs, she was almost 2lbs smaller than both my babies were!! To top it all off, she was the best sleeper I’ve ever had! I put some new techniques to the test and they worked out so well in my favour! Also, having another photographer right beside me meant I could try a few poses I don’t normally attempt, like the potato-sack pose! I am so thrilled with the results from this session, and I hope you are too, Linda! Thank you for trusting me to capture this once in a lifetime moment for your family!
